*all the complications, i embrace them all.*

the weekend has come to an end and i'm wanting one more day to relax. i think it just passed too quickly and i didn't want to deal with monday so soon. last week kicked off a month of busy weeks and weekends. i guess this can make for some good stories and pictures.

this weekend i drove out to atlanta to visit nate gordon. i hadn't seen him since graduating from umf and he's currently in atlanta for a conference.

i stopped to recycle my magazines on the way out in auburn. i left the bottles and cardboard at home because i have access to places that recycle those things in wetumpka. i think that if alabama gave back a deposit for recycling more people would do it. my favorite part about recycling in auburn is throwing the glass over the little wall. no one was there throwing glass saturday.

nate was wonderful. same old nate. we went to the hard rock cafe down the block for dinner. our waiter was a little weird and nate couldn't understand him when he spoke. it wasn't due to an accent but because it was so loud and i don't think the man really opened his mouth while he spoke. i also got dad a peach pin for his collection from all the hard rocks. after dinner we walked back to the hyatt and sat in the lobby talking for a while. i met a few people nate knows and helped him fix his sweatshirt. the zipper split and he couldn't get out of it. i laughed really really hard at him while he stood in front of me so i could fix it. a woman walked up and sat in his chair for maybe 30 seconds to a minute before walking away. weird.

close to 7:30 i ended up walking back down to the parking deck to get back to alabama. the thunder and lightening we were supposed to have earlier in the day started and i obviously decided i would go in search of the cnn building instead of getting back on 85. there were cop cars and two limos out there. i'm going to go back during the day and do a tour or something. at least go inside instead of just driving by. the main road going by there was closed off and being worked on. which was about 8pm. i'm not sure if they were fixing things from the tornado a couple weeks back. this is the only picture i could get because i didn't want to stop next to the cop cars to take on. but after driving circles trying to find 85 south i got on the highway going north to the 75/85 split and then took the first exit and turned south. drove home listening to my audio books 'bleachers' and 'the mermaid chair'. i didn't end up getting a limeade from sonic. sorry jennt.

yesterday i felt nearly useless. i did a lot of sitting. finally went to the gym at about 5pm. talked on the phone several times. went to walmart for random things like toilet paper. happy sunday.

i've now made it through monday as well. i don't have plans other than eating dinner tonight. i may get in bed earlier than normal to escape this headache.

i want a popsicle for dinner.

*it's colder than it ought to be in march.*

i'm excited for this week. mostly because shows are back on tv. all because shows are back on. i know tv is bad for the most part but it gives me something to watch while at the gym. yay!

i decided last night that i would get up and go to the gym before work today. after maybe 5 hours of sleep my alarm went off at 4:45. i got out of bed at 5:20 to be at the gym 10 minutes later. i got in a really good work out, showered and ate breakfast before going to work. i was good until lunch time when i started getting tired. the cons to this idea are that it's really early and there was frost on the windshield (about 32°) when i went. the pros: i got the workout out of the way first thing, metabolism is up and burning calories all day, i saw a man leaving the gym in a tshirt, plaid pj pants and socks. he was shuffling down the sidewalk. very funny at 5:30am. i'm going to try to do this all week. it might help me sleep better. updates to come.

not from this morning.

iep (individual education plan) review season in special education started this afternoon. this means for the next couple months we're going to be busy. especially this week and two weeks from now. so far the two full weeks. this also means we only have 2 months left of school. something like 9 weeks. crazy, hey?

for now i'm tired and am thinking about curling up in this lovely bed and watch tv from under the covers.

1 day down, 4 to go.

*flowers are nice, flowers are pretty so i took a ride away from the city*

i didn't do much on my friday off. but i did has a fabulous lunch at kabuki with h and annette. mmmm sushi. i tried some tuna tataki and ordered both a philadelphia roll and salmon & avocado roll with some miso soup. love it!

at midnight last night i made erin some eggplant parmasian that i brought out to her house late afternoon. she lives out in the country. i took some pictures.

trees in her driveway. it was about 75 degrees or so today.

a mailbox on the way out. it definatly fits the country theme.

cows on a back road on the way back. i also saw two big black and white great danes. i think they were great danes.

and finished my day with some eggplant parm, texas toast and a mango passion fruit slushy while watching a movie.

have a wonderful easter weekend.

*the thing about glitter is if you get it on you be prepared to have it on you forever cause glitter is the herpies of craft supplies.*

look at me writing again. i'm amazing.

today was mostly a march break day. i didn't spend too much of my day doing ecp (the school project) things. let's make a list of things done today.

1. stayed in bed until 8am.
2. gym for 2 hours.
3. tallassee campus. got touched inappropriately by a student. another student went for the glasses slap/ swipe. got the pay checks. i don't like getting paid once a month... and who chooses the 17th of each month? annoying.
4. colonial bank in wetumpka. specifically wetumpka because they recognize me and i thought they'd be better about me depositing h's checks. in january i was explaining to the tallassee branch that i wouldn't be in the state and if h could write 'for deposit only' (i learned this works back in high school when i took some 'on your own' class) and deposit it for me.

them: "oh, what state are you going to be in?"
me: "maine."
them: "just sign it first and she can bring it in."
me: the face of 'seriously?!'

so for this i went to wetumpka. they didn't even double-take or question it.

back to the list...
5. grocers. where i saw a student... eh.
6. broken booty doctor.
7. a walk over to the high school and back. i took this picture.

they have goats over at the high school. click on it and you can actually tell what they are. we can sometimes hear them crying... or talking. whatever it is goats do.

8. watched demetri martin. person. it's where the title came from. it made me think of michael. he hates glitter.

looking forward to watching 'today' while at the gym, again.

melissa says, "go green!"

happy st. patrick's day. excuse the out of focus boston b. the picture was hard to take and i think it focused on my hair. i didn't do much celebrating other than wearing some green today, watching part of the parade in ny and reading a card from melissa. michael and i also reminisced about st. pat's at the richard house hold. oh black and tans. oh bailey's.

on a side note... i diagnosed jennt's medical issue a couple nights ago. between my random knowledge and the use of webmd, i'm impressive.

erin go bragh,

*high-tech tomatoes. mysterious milk. supersquash. are we supposed to eat this stuff? or is it going to eat us?*

happy saturday! i had to ask mum what day it was when she called this morning. my week feels thrown off. i don't have plans for the weekends. probably just gym and cleaning.

last night i finally finished watching 'suburban girl' and part of an episode of 'dexter:season 1'. i really like 'dexter'. it's probably because i like '6 feet under' so much. mum and dad watch season 1 of 'dexter' on tv now. it's on fox or something. netflix is much more convenient.

my favorite part of weekends without plans is making plans to sit in bed longer to eat breakfast and watch a movie. love it!

i've talked to the connecticut guy a couple times this week. i feel like i'm kind of up in the air. they're flying me up in april to visit them and see if what they have in mind fits. we'll see.

h and michael are flying up to philly this week. i'm excited for them to see things up there. the farthest north they've been is d.c. michael is amped on the philly cheese steaks. i'd be really pumped if h and i both end up in the northeast but either way we've already made some future plans. and some lunch plans for later this week. yum!

ducking the tornadoes.

man, you've got some skinny legs.

i blame h for my random skin mishaps. today i noticed when h get to the sugar pill my face gets a little red bump but nothing else. it's been happening for the last three months... when she switched brands. how is this?

*whenever i want a really nice meal, i start dating again.*

it's been another week here in alabama. it kind of feels like my days are numbered down here but i'm okay with that. i'm excited for july 9th. i talked to the connecticut guy this wednesday and things went well. he was supposed to talk to my references this week and he's calling again on tuesday with the lead bcba to talk about things further. he's also going to let me know what hr said about me flying up. we'll see, we'll see.

we missed an eventful morning on friday. the outcome made h and i very happy. i didn't feel guilty. i did have to stay an extra hour yesterday sorting things out and putting together a binder of things. the pay off is a lot better, so i accepted it. i know this is cryptic but it's work related and those things are hush hush.

speaking of 'hush hush', there's some new news! we're apparently not talking about it right now but it's good!

that's the bridge in wetumpka. it's a historical site. i've never read the sign but it says something about the civil rights march. on mlk jr.'s birthday each year they do a symbolic march across the bridge. i think that's cool.

h and i drove out to montgomery this morning to return my pants, get our shoes fixed and look for a sweater go to with a dress for interviews. i never found anything or got my shoes fixed but i did return the pants and exchange something nerdy at hobby lobby. we stood in line there for about 30 minutes. hardly an exaggeration. and there were only 3 people in front of us. they should either have more than one returns line or a faster person doing it. we did go to zoe's kitchen which was one of our planned places to eat before moving. it's a little trendy greek deli and delicious.

i have a really bad history of getting hit on. most of the time i don't understand how people think saying things like 'single and no kids? that's what i like to hear' would give them an in. yesterday i got 'hey, shorty'-ed by some high school kid when i went into a classroom to talk to a teacher. she told him not to talk to me that way. he tried to play it off but said it again when i walked past him. i've got 8 to 10 years on the kid. that right there is worth some eye rolling. sarah had talked about 'game' earlier this week. i'd like to know what people consider game, how you get game and how to use it... i guess. so, let me know.

side note: there was a cute jewelry store guy today at the mall. h told me to tell him i'm shopping for a guy that will 'get me one of these' and point at the pamphlet he was passing out.

gym time!

here's looking up your address.

today was beautiful. at 4pm it was still 77 degrees and sunny. i wore flipflops and a short sleeve shirt. it made for a great drive to montgomery. southern spring has started.

i got a new easel today! i don't have any canvases but maybe that's what i'll buy next time i find myself wandering hobby lobby. i have $7 left of a gift card from last christmas. yes! i'm excited to use the easel. i should make for a cleaner painting process. it makes me want to clap.

i went on a search for pants this afternoon. it's the real reason i was in montgomery. i drove around to the different shopping places trying on pants. the good ones are dang expensive. ann taylor loft had the best fitting (and most expensive) petite pants but i didn't want to spend my cash on something that may fit for a couple months. i may go back at the end of the month to get them. they fit the booty nicely, which is rare.

i'm still getting tired early. the sickness is still looming. i think i'm going to change and watch the house dvd that came in today. and drink some water. gosh, i'm thirsty.

important note: spring training started this weekend. i love baseball season. go red sox.

20 on 20 off.
